Raise The Flag is a free game created for the Playdate Yellow Square Jam, in which you're the person with the worst job: Raising the flag for the runners in a platforming game. It's not a glamorous job, but that flag has to get back to the top of the pole somehow.
Technically, it's the worst platform game ever made. Or something.

This game was created in Pulp, the free (and super fun!) game tool provided by Panic. It includes the .json file for those who would like to take a peek behind the scenes at the game's Pulpscript to see how it works!

Download the .pdx and sideload it to your Playdate or play it using Panic's Playdate Simulator provided in its free SDK.

Great concept and a fitting use of the crank! It reminds me somewhat of the game Ennuigi. I think it'd be a more "fun" game if the runners came more quickly, but as it is I think the pace reinforces the boredom the flag raiser feels with their job, so it works as an experience (just one I'm probably not motivated to chase a high score in).
Hilarious concept, lol! We've all hit that flag a 1000+ times and never one thought to thank the guy who raises it (not to mention the fireworks). I wonder if there is a guy who places the rings on the tracks for Sonic too..
Those graphics in a full fledged Super Mario World like game on the Playdate would be epic...
